GCC’s new wet mills are the most sophisticated beneficios in Colombia. The team is implementing a mixture of the best available technologies from Europe and Latin America, which includes optical cherry sorting, waterless conveyor systems, fermentation control, and two stage drying. Each facility has the capacity to process 30,000 kilograms of coffee cherries per hour while reducing our water consumption by over 80%.
Through Reforestation and Watershed Protection, we've planted 26,650 non-coffee trees; 55% of our watershed areas are actively managed; 153 hectares are designated as preserved forest; and 2.8 million coffee trees have been planted on converted pastureland.
Traceability at scale
We continue to scale our farms and diversify coffee production in Colombia through planting, maturing, harvesting, delivery, quality control, and processing.
